Heather Sharkey has been shortlisted for two awards at the Press & Journal Gold Awards. The award ceremony is the leading energy awards event in the North East, showcasing significant contributions from individuals and businesses in the area.

EC-OG’s Commercial Director is a nominee for both the Above & Beyond Award and the Dr. Mildred Dresselhaus Award.

For the Above & Beyond Award, Heather is a finalist alongside Grant MacGregor (Wood) and Louise Duncan (Chevron). This award recognises those who have performed above and beyond the call of duty of their professional role – demonstrating commitment, teamwork and an appetite to do better.

The Dr. Mildred Dresselhaus Award seeks to give recognition to women within the energy sector. This award acknowledges those who have made a positive contribution to the sector including through mentorship and supporting the next generation of innovators. Other nominees include Fiona McKie (Wood) and Rebecca Alison (The Oil & Gas Technology Centre).

The judging panel selected a strong list of nominees across the ten award categories.
