EC-OG Commercially Launch Subsea Power Hub
Today at the Offshore Europe Conference and Exhibition in Aberdeen, EC-OG commercially launched the Subsea Power Hub.
The audience at the launch included industry representatives from Oil and Gas operators and a number of bodies such as Scottish Enterprise, the Oil and Gas Technology Centre, Subsea UK and the European Marine Energy Centre.
Paul Wheelhouse, Minister of Business, Innovation and Energy praised EC-OG for being a valuable member of the subsea business community, setting an example for great innovation in Scotland. Mr. Wheelhouse also commented on the fast progress and growth that the company has made, with the support of Scottish Enterprise.
Following successful sea trials of the prototype system at the European Marine Energy Centre in Orkney, EC-OG is currently exhibiting as part of the Scotland Pavilion on stand 2C39 at Offshore Europe. The Subsea Power Hub is a ground-breaking autonomous electrical power system which harnesses the energy within ocean currents to convert, store and deliver reliable electricity on demand.
