A total of four university students have secured summer internships at EC-OG. The students join the EC-OG team which offers a wide range of technical disciplines including Analysis, Business Support, Design, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Project Management, Software, Systems and Testing Engineers.

EC-OG are providing placements for the students from the University of Aberdeen and the University of Strathclyde. This has been achieved through various mechanisms including the Santander Internship Programme. The Santander Internship Programme brings university talent together with local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Robert Cowman, EC-OG Engineering Director said:

‘Students bring real value to businesses and we’ve always been keen to integrate students into the EC-OG team as we continue to grow. This summer, the students have the opportunity to integrate into our unique culture here at EC-OG as well as work closely with our experienced team members.

We are encouraging them to put theoretical knowledge into practice and introducing them to our distinct way of working. Supporting the next generation is very important to us and we have developed close relationships with Scottish universities in order to do so. I’d like to say thank you to the University of Aberdeen in particular for their support through the Santander Internship Programme.’
