Verlume, a specialist in subsea power delivery, intelligent energy management and energy storage, is a triple finalist at the upcoming Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards which recognises the company’s commitment to delivering innovative technologies that change the energy landscape towards a sustainable future.

Organised by industry body Scottish Renewables, the awards celebrate organisations and individuals who are playing their part in Scotland’s clean energy ambition and making the deployment of billion-pound renewable energy projects possible.

Across three categories, Verlume has been shortlisted for the:

  • Green Business Growth Award
  • Outstanding SME Award
  • Technology & Business Innovation Award

The awards shortlisting comes at a time of significant growth at pace for Verlume, with a 400% increase in revenue reported for the financial year 2024/2025, further growing the team to support international growth plans and obtaining Fit for Offshore Renewables (F4OR) Granted status to signify that the business is competent, capable and competitive within the UK offshore renewable energy supply chain.

Richard Knox, Chief Executive Officer at Verlume, said: “It is fantastic to have been shortlisted in not one, but three categories at these prestigious awards. At Verlume, we have been at the forefront of the energy transition since 2013, being a key player in several world-first projects so it is great to be recognised for this.

“In particular over the last 12 months, we have helped more clients worldwide with power delivery challenges and delivered many systems across the offshore ecosystem to encourage renewables adoption and displace carbon-intensive traditional methods of power delivery.”

Emma Harrick, Head of Energy Transition and Supply Chain at Scottish Renewables, added: “Celebrating the people and organisations who are transferring their skills to help shape the future of our industry in Scotland is incredibly important to Scottish Renewables.

“As we stand at the forefront of a vibrant renewable energy future, much of the success we have achieved so far can be credited to the diverse mix of supply chain companies delivering the specialist products and services needed to achieve our green energy ambitions.

“The Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards are here to champion Scotland’s growing supplier network. It is clear from the shortlist – this year’s event is going to be a showcase of the innovation, skills and engineering know-how that the supply chain is bringing to the wind, solar, marine, hydro and hydrogen projects being delivered across the globe, and I look forward to joining them in celebrating these achievements in August.”

The ceremony takes place on 22nd August in Aberdeen. A full list of finalists for the 2024 awards can be found here.
